In direct sales, leaders must have many of the same qualities as company owners because they essentially own their own businesses. Some of these qualities include:
Discipline. Treat a direct sales business like a commission-only corporate job, with no base pay or income guarantees.
Consistency. Continually perform the same tasks for the best results.
Motivation. Positively encourage yourself and others to do what is necessary to accomplish goals
Patience. Understand that others may not have the same experiences and accept that it takes time to learn new skills.
Drive. Have an unrelenting desire to keep you and your team moving forward, even when it is difficult.
Goals. Have a grand purpose in mind to continually push yourself and your team to success.
Plans. Have a plan in place to help your team achieve goals.
Communication. Effectively communicate your wishes or goals.
Desire. Have a great need to achieve specific objectives.
Confidence. Know that objectives can be accomplished with planning, action, and perseverance.
